ORIGIN
Ymura Hot springs are very old hot springs whichwere discovered by Jikakutaishi around 1150 years ago. Since then the quality and the quantity of the hos spring has continued to be excellent.

ARAYU
The source of this hot springs which is called the Arayu is located near the Haruki River, which flows through the center of the town,. In 1 miniute 470 liters of boiling 98C of hot water gushes out of this spring. The people of the town use this water to boil their vegetables, tofu, fish, egg, etc.

SPECIAL PRODUCTS
Arayutofu Arayusoba Arayutofu has its own distinctive flavor, which comes from being boiled in water from the hot springs.

YAKUSHIDO
Yakushido was built in 875 to honor the virtue of Jikakutaishi who dhiscovered the Yumura Hot Springs. Inside this boulding are two idols, one of Yakushinyorai and the other of Jikakutaishi.

GORIN NO SEKITO
In the grounds of the Hachiman shrine, there is a 4 meter high Gorinnosekito. The town’s people call it Sennengama and they worship it. Another name ofr it is “the Wart God”, named for those who have come here to pray for healing.

SHOFUKU TEMPLE
It is said that Shofuku Temple was built gby Jikakutaishi at the time of his discovery of the hot springs. This temple has been rebuilt several times; 1354 rebuilt by Zittsoukensounin 1685 destroyed by fire 1690 rebuilt by Gimitsuhouin 1780 enlarged by Kouhanhoushin.

Since then it has remained the same until the present.
Inside the grounds of this temple, Shofuku Cherry Trees, which are considered to be a natural monument, bloom every spring. These are very unusual type of cherry trees. Some documents and articles of Naoyoshi kumagai are also enshrined here.

REERSH-PARK YUMURA
Inside this park, There are five kinds of Rotenburo, seven Kinds of Kenkoburo and hot springs pools(25m 6courses). There is also a restaurant famous for Tajima-meat.

YAKUSHI-FU
This hot spring is located in the center of Onsen town. Another name for it is Sotoyu.
